Behind it all is surely an idea so simple, so beautiful, that when we grasp it — in a decade, a century, or a millennium — we will all say to each other, how could it have been otherwise?

I am a PhD student in quantum foundations and quantum information, working in the group of Prof. Časlav Brukner at the University of Vienna and IQOQI Vienna. My research focuses on quantum reference frames, indefinite causal structures, the phenomenology of quantum gravity, and the interplay between symmetries and subsystems.

I earned my BSc in Physics from ETH Zürich in 2018. For my Master’s thesis, Quantum Reference Frames: A Relational Approach to Quantum Theory, I was a Visiting Graduate Fellow at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, under the joint supervision of Dr. Thomas Galley (PI) and Prof. Renato Renner (ETH). In September 2020, I completed my MSc in Physics with distinction from ETH Zürich and began my PhD studies in Prof. Brukner’s group at the University of Vienna. I am planning to graduate in spring 2025.

I am passionate about fostering an inclusive and collaborative research environment and believe that it is key for both scientific discovery and personal growth. This is why I’m a member of the Basic Research Community for Physics.

Alongside my research, I am committed to teaching and outreach. I aim to create a supportive academic environment for students and to engage with broader audiences to promote the significance of fundamental research in physics.
